Thankfulness and affability are some social virtues that show us how Catholics should connect with others in social situations. Father Mike Schmitz looks into how we might "make our life just that much more full."

> This weekend, we celebrate the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time. Jesus, the Lamb of God, is the light of the nations who came to do the Father's will. In Christ, we have been called to be a holy people. You can review this weekend's scripture readings as well as consider this commentary.
> As Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday and our offices will be closed. Daily Mass on Monday will be celebrated at 10:00am
> Bishop Madden invites you to join him for The Annual Fr. Miller Peace Walk which will be held on Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Monday January 20 at St. Bernardine (our sister parish), beginning at 12:00 noon. We will gather in the church first. A potluck lunch will be served after the walk in the hall.

Just pick up a bottle as you leave mass next weekend and fill it with coins and cash or checks payable to Columbia Pregnancy Center, then bring it back to church.
