Recently, Father Mel introduced our Faith Renewed - Mission Sustained process. If you missed the video and the budget report or the support cards which were distributed this weekend, you can find them online.
At the end of each month, we invite couples who have celebrated their wedding anniversary that month to present themselves after communion for recognition from the community as well as a special blessing. Please RSVP your participation by sending an email to scott.miller@sjerc.org with the following information:

All Saints Masses will be available October 31 and November 1 at the usual weekend Mass times. Our monthly Youth Mass will be Sunday, November 1 at 3:15pm. All Souls Masses will be November 2 at Noon (English) and 7pm (Spanish) and 7pm (English.)
We invite you to join us after the 11:30am and the 12:15pm Masses on Sunday, November 1 to be a part of a large group photo to be used for our upcoming Parish Photo Directory. At Oakland Mills, we will be indoors. At Wilde Lake, you will be invited outdoors to smile up towards a drone!
November is quicky approaching. This is traditionally a month when we remember our deceased loved ones. Our annual Mass of Remembrance will be at our 4pm Mass on Saturday, November 7.
Our Book of the Dead will be available throughout the month of November for you to write the names of those whom you would like remembered at all our Masses throughout the month.

So God is inviting us to something deeper than what we are looking for. So something real that actually fills our hearts, not not only
our human needs, but also our spiritual needs.
So if you look at Jesus in today's gospel, he just received terrible news.
You know right John the Baptist is the cousin of Jesus. So when John the Baptist was killed Jesus was grieving that's why he tried to retreat himself with room himself to a quiet place to pray and but the crowd followed him. So instead of getting annoyed or telling them to go away the gospel says had compassion on them. So as evening came the disciples panicked. They look at the massive crowd of thousand of people look at their empty pocket empty and said them and said to them send them away because the disciple just look at them as a problem that was way too big for them to solve.

¿Cuántos de nosotros nos hemos desesperado por alguna situación difícil que nos pasa en el diario vivir? un hijo enfermo, una enfermedad que nos acaban de decir, fulano o fulana tiene tal condición y es terminal o es una condición que hay que actuar rápido porque puede peligrar la vida de la persona. Y nosotros, como decimos en Puerto Rico, nos volvemos como una gallina crueca, ¿verdad?, que pega a cacarear y y se desespera y el el objetivo es tener una fe férria, una fe firme en Cristo Jesús.
